Level 2 specialist Technician (Electrical and Electronics workshop Technician)

The role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Electrical / Electronic workshop technician based in the University of Bristol, Faculty of Engineering's workshop.

What will you be doing?

Main duties will include:

• Designing / Manufacturing / Testing / Installing / Commissioning of bespoke laboratory equipment / machinery.
• Supporting students and staff by helping them develop their knowledge, skills and techniques.
• Instructing / training students and staff in the safe use of hand tools and workshop machinery, as required, to enable teaching and research projects.
• Maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment, machines and tools.

You should apply if

The ideal candidate will be an experienced electrical and electronics technician with a sound practical working knowledge of current design tools, manufacturing processes and safety standards. Good communication skills are essential for this role.
