You will work with Professor Vanessa Kind, Head of School, to support, develop and collaborate on a number of her research projects in science education, including national and international collaborations. The projects require data collection and analysis via a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including questionnaires, interviews, surveys and document analysis.
Within the School of Education and wider University, Vanessa is devising new projects with colleagues particularly focused on climate change education and in development education. The post-holder will have an opportunity to help to shape and develop these projects.
With a relevant degree and experience of mixed methods educational research techniques you will deal with a wide range of people in supporting existing research projects, as well as designing new research projects. You will possess excellent analytical and writing skills and the ability to deal with a variety of tasks to set deadlines. The ability and motivation to work alone or as part of a team is essential, along with strong organisational skills.
