This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Computer Science, Data Science or related graduate to fast-track their career development as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate. The role on offer is that of a Data Scientist working with Irwin Mitchell and the University of Salford.

This new and exciting role is looking to create an innovative, leading data science and machine learning capability utilising advanced data analytics and insights, to enhance the services and transform the client and colleague experience.

Location: Based either at home, or from Irwin Mitchell offices in Sheffield or Manchester (or a hybrid of your choice), you will be supported by the staff from the company and an academic team from the University of Salford's Science, Engineering and Environment department.

The Project:

This project will provide the catalyst to build the firm's in-house data science and machine learning capability. The successful candidate will sit within the Data Centre of Excellence, embedding capability and knowledge, with the KTP allowing Irwin Mitchell to take the next steps to confidently understand what needs to be done to innovate and build a market leading legal resource planning solution.

The impact of this KTP will be positive enhancements to the Client journey and service offerings, together with improvements to the Client experience.

Skills required: A minimum 2.1 BEng or BSc in in Computer Science, Data Science, or related discipline. A Masters level qualification in a relevant subject is desirable but not essential when applying for this post.

The successful candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently and to tight deadlines within a dynamic team environment.

This is a 30 month Fixed Term Contract
