The Department of Communication Disorders & Sciences (CDS) in the College of Health Sciences is seeking an outstanding individual with expertise in the area of audiology, who will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures, to join the faculty in Audiology at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. This tenure-track position provides excellent opportunities for teaching, clinical activities, research, and scholarship.

Position Responsibilities:

Serve as director for courses in CDS, specifically in the areas related to amplification and adult audiological rehabilitation.
Develop a record of research and scholarship that includes extramural funding for research.
Assume the responsibilities of an academic leader at Rush as demonstrated by participation in University, college, departmental, and other professional service activities
Serve as an effective academic advisor and clinical preceptor to Rush graduate students.

Position Qualifications Include:

Ph.D. degree in Audiology or Hearing Sciences, evidence of teaching, and research potential.
Possess the CCC-AUD and be eligible for Illinois licensure in Audiology.
Experience of teaching at undergraduate or graduate level is preferred.
