Department The Florida State University's Division of Student Affairs seeks an enthusiastic and collaborative professional to provide leadership, coordination, and direction for the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards. Responsible for serving a student body of over 41,000 students. Responsibilities The Associate Dean of Students and Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards will be a strategic, collaborative, communicative and inclusive leader who is student-centered. Will serve as a member of the Health and Wellness leadership team, and be responsible for oversight of the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards providing leadership and the promotion of responsible decision-making that fosters holistic wellness, student-centered learning, and behavioral accountability that aligns with the campus community and its values.
Will provide interpretation and ensure compliance of the University's Board of Governor's policy; as well as local, state, and federal regulations.Will ensure students receive the highest level of safeguard while maintaining their right to due process and other constitutional rights.Serve as the representative of the University on all conduct matters with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to parents and families, process advisors and attorneys, alumni, faculty, and staff.Will manage a staff of (4) professional staff, an administrative assistant, and Graduate Assistants.Will serve as a member of the Health and Wellness leadership team assisting with the development and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures.Coordinate actions, referrals, and responses from report.fsu.edu submissions and cases referred from FSUPD and external law enforcement agencies.Represent the Department while serving on appropriate University committees including but not limited to the Student Situation Resolution Team, Student of Concern Committee, and Admissions Judicial Review Committee.Qualifications Master's degree and four years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree and experience equal to six years.
