Position Summary

Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Scientific Research Manager will manage and lead the integrated support activities for a scientific research laboratory. The individual will coordinate collaborative research projects; develop research protocols; guide, lead and/or oversee the work of research staff; establish and manage research technology and facilities; engage in participant recruitment activities in the community, and oversee the day-to-day administration of the study.

Must be sensitive to research participant privacy and data collection and have a clear understanding of HIPAA compliance and IRB requirements.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

*Experience in the protection of human subjects in research

*Experience in the conduct of clinical trials

*Experience with behavioral health populations

*Experience in managing grant-funded research

*Proficiency in use of spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google)

*Experience with RedCap software
