We are looking for a communications professional to join the University's Communications and Engagement team to support our strategic events objectives.
The Communications and Engagement team helps staff and students to understand and engage in our strategic ambitions and key issues, and provides the information they need to thrive within our diverse community of more than 9,000 staff and 39,000 students.
You will have evidence of your ability to contribute engaging, creative content to a range of dynamic event and communication channels. You will need excellent organising, facilitating, writing, editing and stakeholder liaison skills and an ability to simplify complex information, while being sensitive to the relevant context.
You must be able to work flexibly and independently, while meeting deadlines and, ideally, have an appreciation of the internal communication challenges a university faces.
This role reports to the Community Campaigns Manager and will involve both remote and on-campus working. The role has no direct line management responsibilities but the role holder will task manage colleagues on a project basis.
