Join the University of Adelaide's award-winning Career Services and contribute to the success of our students. The Careers Officer is the first point of contact for enquiries into Career Services from a wide range of customers. As the primary focus, this role provides a high level of customer service through career related information to students and industry on a daily basis.

Career Services assists students to develop the necessary skills and capabilities they need to manage their careers after graduation and throughout their working life. Our services equip students to articulate their professional skills, values and graduate attributes while empowering them to compete globally in the labour market.

Working under general direction, the Careers Officer requires a strong customer service focus, excellent communication skills, the ability to foster effective networks within the university, and an interest in creating resources to aid student enquiries.

To be successful you will need:
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
  • High level written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to communicate across various platforms (online, email, in person and through written media).
  • High level administrative skills including record keeping, case notes and preparing reports.
  • Demonstrated experience in using technology and digital tools.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain effective liaison with multiple departments, external providers and other relevant stakeholders, and the ability to work independently when required.
