Teaching Assistant Professor of Economics

The Sam M. Walton College of Business invites applications for a
non-tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of
Economics. This teaching professor position has a four-course
teaching requirement each semester (12 credit hours per semester),
with a potential mix of face-to-face and online courses, as needed.
Teaching responsibilities for this position will involve a mix of
Economics and Data Analysis and Interpretation courses at the
undergraduate level. The expected start date for the position is
Fall 2022. This position is a 9-month contract with opportunity to
teach courses during the summer for additional salary. The
appointment is renewable, and salary is competitive and
commensurate with experience.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential
job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial,
harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate in Economics (not ABD)
Demonstrated record of excellent teaching experience in
Economics prior to start of employment
Demonstrated excellence and innovative teaching

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience
and/or an interest in both face-to-face and online course
delivery
Preference will be given to Practice Academics as defined by
AACSB standards (PhD, committed to the teaching mission, some
interest in research).
Commitment to continued scholarly or
professional engagement activity is expected.
