Visiting Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Description
The School of Engineering, housed in the College of Applied and Social Sciences at the University of Mount Union invites applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor faculty position to begin August 1, 2022. We seek an educator-scholar with an emphasis in electrical and computer engineering. The School of Engineering currently offers ABET-accredited programs in civil and mechanical engineering. Newly created programs in biomedical engineering, computer engineering, and electrical engineering will seek ABET accreditation after graduating from their first classes in 2022.
Responsibilities
Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate engineering education in a liberal arts setting. Industrial experience is highly desirable. Primary responsibilities include teaching electrical and computer engineering courses and labs, and introductory engineering courses, participating in the ABET accreditation process, and service to the School, College, and University. Individuals with previous online teaching experience are highly desirable. The School is interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity in higher education through their teaching, research, and service. Members of underrepresented demographics in Engineering are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
Bachelors in electrical or computer engineering, or closely related field; Ph.D in electrical or computer engineering or closely related field.
