Director of Bristol Innovations

The role

The University of Bristol is looking to appoint a director for a new function called Bristol Innovations - to transform the innovation capacity and capability of our region.

For us Innovation is about creating the pull that can benefit from ours, and others, knowledge to create new products and services.

What will you be doing?

We are seeking a leader to establish a new business function, with the aim of establishing Special Purpose Vehicles (contractual or companies) that add value to our external ecosystem, whilst being relevant to the University of Bristol.

The aim of this role is to generate a 'pull' from government and industry. As such, the University of Bristol is enabled the stimulating and capturing the spill over of knowledge, for the improvement of the region and University of Bristol.

If you have an in-depth knowledge of establishing innovation investment funds, and setting up Special Purpose Vehicles, with experience of accessing investment to grow industrially relevant services, please apply!

The post holder will need to work with academics and other professional services, including faculties, especially those Enterprise functions supporting and 'pushing' the knowledge out of the University of Bristol.
