Clinical Tutor in Clinical Psychology

We are looking for an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist to develop a clinical academic career within a team committed to providing a high standard of training in clinical psychology.

Leeds has a longstanding and highly regarded clinical psychology training programme. We are a close knit, friendly and supportive team, with excellent links with clinical psychology and expert by experience colleagues in West Yorkshire. We also regularly collaborate with academic colleagues in the Institute for Health Sciences.

As a clinical tutor, you will co-ordinate clinical placement arrangements in a specified core area of training, implement agreed procedures for the monitoring and appraisal of clinical experience and development of clinical competencies of trainees including organisation of placement visits and liaising with NHS supervisors. You will liaise as needed with external agencies in relation to training initiatives and also own CPD requirements.

There is also an expectation that you will help develop teaching in an area of expertise and take on some limited doctoral research co-supervision of trainee projects.

Leeds has an eclectic approach to different psychological therapies and research methodologies, and an emphasis on personal and professional development, reflective practice, and an appropriately critical appraisal of evidence.
