Job Description
Title: Adjunct Nurse Practitioner (NP) Faculty
Department: Nursing
Term: September- December 2022
Purpose: Daemen College seeks applications for an adjunct, Nurse Practitioner faculty position in the Nursing Department. The position includes clinical and/or skills lab teaching responsibilities in the MS in AGPCNP program at the
College. The anticipated start date is September 2022.
The Nursing Department provides high quality, adult student-oriented, accessible education to registered nurses.
Offerings include an RN to BS program, and three master's programs. All programs are accredited by the
Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). https://www.daemen.edu/academics/areas-study/nursing
Course(s) to be taught:
-NUR 505L Advanced Health Assessment Skills lab advanced health assessment skills lab instructor for 6 MS AGPCNP students
-NUR 562L Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Practice II clinical faculty preceptor for 6 MS AGPCNP students in their second clinical course.
Requirements include: Certification as an advanced practice nurse in ANP, AGNP or FNP with primarily adult experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Post-Hire Trainings:
Various trainings assigned upon hire and annually thereafter by the Office of Employee Engagement.
Contract salary is determined on a by-course basis and commensurate with experience, degree attainment, and course load requirements. Salary is on a per-course basis and the contract is contingent upon enrollment numbers.

- Strong time management/organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with students, faculty, staff, and all College administration
- Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching
