Position Summary
Good Samaritan College of Nursing and Health Science (GSC) seeks an innovative, visionary, and strategic academic nurse leader to serve as the next Dean of Nursing. They should have a strong desire to nurture the excellence of the faculty, to recruit and support promising students and to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within the College. This individual will oversee two nursing programs at GSC, the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing pre-licensure program and the RN to BSN completion program. The Dean will lead GSC Nursing into the future in education and service.
Primary Duties Performed:
• Responsible for all educational nursing activities and nursing academic programs.
• Directs the nursing faculty in planning, evaluating and revising the nursing educational programs.
• Monitors, evaluates, and continuously improves processes, programs, and services that integrate strategic activities into both long-range planning and day-to-day operations.
• Holds the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor at Good Samaritan College consistent with their education and experience and shall teach in their respective discipline.
• Actively supports an outcomes-based learning centered culture through continued professional development for improvement of self and the college in keeping with the College's learning-centered values and goals.
Required Qualifications:
2 years of teaching in an accredited nursing program, as well as an active RN licensure. 3-5 years of progressive leaderships in academia. Candidates must have a terminal degree and Master of Science in Nursing.
Salary Range:
Commensurate with Experience
