Job Description:

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate Nursing courses in online, hybrid and on-campus modes, primarily in the Family Nurse Practitioner and or/DNP programs, in a student-centered teaching environment within an evidenced based practice setting.
  • Pursue collaborative scholarship and service commitments.
  • Maintain an active professional Nursing practice.
  • Engage in professional or academic activities in campus-based, local, regional or broader communities in an effort to make a positive impact and advance the recognition and reputation of the College and SUNY Poly.
  • Be actively involved in student advising and mentoring, assessment and assurance of learning, curriculum design and revision, as well as committee services at all levels of the Institute.
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree or ABD or DNP in nursing or related area from an institution accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized organization (preferably CCNE-accredited).
  • Doctoral candidates must demonstrate a reasonable expectation of completing the DNP or PhD within one year of employment.

Certification
  • National certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and/ or national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
