The Division of Experimental Medicine (experimentalmedicine.ucsf.edu) at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a visionary researcher in infectious diseases and immunology to join our vibrant and collaborative discovery research community. This open-rank faculty position is part of a multiyear initiative to foster equity and inclusion in biomedical research and to promote the success of our diverse population of investigators and trainees.
Candidates are expected to hold an MD, PhD, MD/PhD (or equivalent), to have demonstrated significant research accomplishments or the potential to lead a first-rate and independent research program at the time of hire, and to be committed to the mentorship of trainees – particularly students from groups that are underrepresented in biomedical science.
The successful candidate will be expected to establish a dynamic and interactive research program, actively participate in one of our top-ranked interdisciplinary graduate programs, to excel at graduate teaching and inclusive mentoring, and to participate in activities that promote equity and inclusion. Service and teaching expectations are comparable to those of any other tenure-track faculty position. Faculty appointment will be made at a professorial rank commensurate with current academic standing.
