Fixed term-part time position (0.5 FTE) available immediately until the 16th of December 2022.

This role is critical to the development of the new Bachelor of Medical Studies/MD at the University of Adelaide. In the new curriculum, student learning is supported by Scenario-Based Learning (SBL) activities, where student learning attained via other activities is support by group based learning sessions. In these sessions, clinical scenarios are used to emphasise prior learning and promote integration across the Domains of the curriculum. This role will be essential for the development of scenarios for the second year of the curriculum

You will join a dynamic curriculum development team and will be well supported in this critical role. You will possess some clinical experience which will allow you to integrate concepts from across the curriculum. You will also need to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, as an essential activity will be to liaise with clinical academics and titleholders of the faculty.

To be successful you will need:
  • Good writing skills, including the ability collate work from a number of contributors.
  • Appropriate clinical experience to allow for the translation of diverse content into medically relevant teaching activities and an awareness of clinical guidelines to ensure best practice.
  • Superior interpersonal skills including a track record of being able to bring different groups of people together to achieve common goals.
  • Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and an ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
