The University of Nevada, Reno is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar specializing in Chemical Biology to work in the Laboratory of Dr. Yftah Tal-Gan, Associate Professor with the Department of Chemistry. Projects will focus on the utilization of peptide-based tools to study bacterial communications. Specifically, the interception of the cell-density signaling mechanism termed quorum sensing as a potential anti-infective treatment to bacterial infections. The majority of the work will be focused on solid-phase peptide synthesis techniques, along with cell-based reporter gene and phenotypic high-throughput bioassays. Required Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field by time of appointment.

Degree must have been received within the last five years.
