UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a 90% FTE (36 hours per week), day shift REGISTERED NURSEto join our Emergency Department. Our Emergency Department provides specialized treatment for cardiac, trauma, and stroke patients, and we have been recognized for providing one of the fastest times to treatment for cardiac patients in the Seattle region. Additionally, our unit has received the UW Cares Award and many of our RNs have received Daisy Awards for providing exceptional patient care. Our Emergency Department is fast-paced and a great match for RNs interested in supporting a diverse population from our local and regional communities. We are a 22-bed Level IV Trauma Center and we pride ourselves on fostering a supportive, collaborate environment where everyones contributions are recognized.

3x12 shift schedule, day shift only (7:00am - 7:30pm).

RESPONSIBILITIES
As an RN, you will:

Work alongside board-certified emergency medicine physicians, intensivists, and cardiac care professionals

Restore patients health by following evidence-based nursing practices

Identify care needs

Monitor and administer medications

Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect

REQUIREMENTS

2 years of current or recent inpatient nursing experience

ACLS

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous nursing experience in a critical care environment

CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)
