About This Role:

The National Strategic Selling Institute (NSSI), housed within the Department of Marketing at Kansas State University, invites applications for a Visiting Instructor to begin in August 2022. Teaching responsibilities include four courses in the Fall and four courses in the Spring, including but not limited to the following courses: Fundamentals of Professional Selling and Sales Technology.

The incumbent of this position will be responsible for course implementation and instruction. The instructor will be expected to teach classes in a face-to-face format. The instructor will also mentor undergraduate students, serve on departmental, college, and university committees, and participate in student-related activities. The individual should be able to develop instructional outcomes and provide a positive learning environment. This role will participate in student organizations and departmental development and promotion. The success of this roles relies on an effective communicator and instructor with strong leadership and management skills, a commitment to team building and continuous improvement, and who possess the ability to work effectively with faculty, students, staff, and industry.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

A master's degree in business from an accredited AACSB accredited college/university.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching or training experience in sales at the undergraduate level or in the workforce.
Evidence of demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
Demonstrated ability to use a variety of teaching methods in the classroom.
Industry experience in sales.
Commitment to understanding one's own experiences and perspectives as well as the experiences and perspectives of diverse others in an effort to cultivate strong relationships and collaboration.
Ability to work collegially with others in service to the University.
