About This Role:
Instructor/Senior Instructor/Teaching Assistant Professor/Teaching Associate Professor/Teaching Professor/Professor of Practice.
The Mike Wiegers Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking an energetic individual with excellent teaching skills to join their team. The individual will teach undergraduate computer engineering courses and develop engagement opportunities with industry and other academic units across the university. In addition to teaching three courses each semester, the candidate will also likely be involved with student advising, retention, and accreditation efforts. The position title and salary will be commensurate with the candidate's education and experience.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or closely related field
Three years of engineering experience with industry or government
Demonstrated content expertise to teach core classes in computer engineering
The ability to effectively lead students in a classroom setting
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Pro-active problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Must maintain a positive attitude with an open-door policy and the desire to be a member of an effective team
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience in engineering or related field
M.S. degree and/or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or closely related field
Established connections with industry in the State of Kansas and the surrounding region
Other Requirements:
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
