Position Overview

ATL is seeking a dynamic Open Access Lab Support Associate to join our team of dedicated professionals focused on client service and quality. This associate will be responsible for providing support that covers multiple areas within lab operations. The position has a mix of process driven work and judgment-based activities requiring someone to execute all steps with a high level of detail. There will be significant customer facing responsibilities as well, including various levels of leadership up to VP.

Major Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with clients / Scientists to help them utilize and gain a better understanding of the instruments / equipment in the laboratory.
• Troubleshoot equipment / instruments
• Ensure the lab is stocked with appropriate reagents
• Coordinate and escort vendors for equipment demos or repairs
• Use spreadsheets to track equipment usage, issues, purchasing, and trend data
• May help set up sample runs on equipment
• May eventually run samples when requested
• Work as a collaborative member of a team to ensure client needs are met.
• Responsible for the safety and upkeep in the lab
• Other duties as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with related work experience
• Must be comfortable being inside of a laboratory environment
• Ability to critical think and approach work with a process driven mindset.
• Microsoft Office suite with Excel strength
• Excellent customer service skills
• High attention to detail.
