Tenure-track Associate/Assistant Biostatistics Professorship Faculty Position

The Department of Biostatistics and Data Science at the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine is seeking applications for a tenure-track/tenured faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. The position will have emphases on biostatistics and computational applied statistics and the development and application of computing techniques for analyzing health sciences data. Areas of interest include data science, biostatistics, data visualization and machine learning, or any computational related data-driven discipline. Responsibilities associated with this position include a demonstrated capacity for independent methodological research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a commitment to innovation (create course content and materials) in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and the supervision of graduate students in biostatistics and data science. We offer a supportive environment for faculty to participate in funded studies or develop new projects, in cooperation with other departments and centers at the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and throughout the university.
Qualifications include a doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, data science, or a closely related computing field; a record of research; intent and ability for scientific collaborative research and graduate level teaching; excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates at the Associate Professor level are expected to have an established record of funded research, collaboration, and teaching. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience.
