YOUR ROLE
- Experienced senior manager (d/f/m) that contributes to shaping Adhesive Technologies' strategy for sustainability by further accelerating product safety as differentiator
- The special focus is on transforming product safety from compliance factor to competitive advantage by shifting internal and customer mindset and demonstrating thought leadership
- Identify highest impact levers, derive and prioritize concrete initiatives and translate them into business plans
- Develop a governance to coordinate and monitor proactive substance phase outs and facilitate cross-functional decision making
- Responsible for roadmap development, performance measurement and progress reporting
- Provide expertise on sustainability related topics such as chemical safety, cost and business implications along the value chain as well as regulatory aspects
- Proactively engage with suppliers and regulatories to shape future standards addressing the use of chemicals
- Represent Henkel externally at association or industry initiatives, at customers, as well as in internal bodies - to improve our sustainability expertise, performance, and reputation
YOUR SKILLS
- Master's degree in Chemistry, Environmental or Material Science, Engineering or a related field (PhD optional)
- Min. 5 years of professional experience in leading multi-stakeholder projects in the chemical industry and regulatory environment, ideally with a strong focus on sustainability related projects
- Background and experience in product safety, regulatory affairs, and/or product development
- Excellent understanding of complexity of products, technologies, and formulations required
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Individual with both strategic and analytical mindset, strong project management skills, and passion about driving change and challenging the status quo
- Fluent English language skills, good knowledge of German is an advantage
