The postdoctoral scholar will pursue specialized research training in tobacco control and cancer prevention research under the guidance of a scientific mentor; conducts research on tobacco use behaviors, including patterns of use; develops, adopts, and implements new data collection methods to study tobacco use behaviors and inform the development of prevention and cessation interventions; develops, tests, and evaluates prevention and cessation intervention strategies; analyzes data from observational studies, experiments, and intervention trials; participates in the development of and leads the preparation of peer-reviewed research products including abstracts for conference presentation and manuscripts for publication; contributes to the development of grant applications for research funding.

Education/experience:

A doctoral degree in Epidemiology, social amp; behavioral sciences, communication, public health, or a related field is required. Requires successful completion of background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including drug screen.

The targeted hiring range for this position is $53,760 to $65,292.
