Description:

The Psychology Department at Queens College of the City University of New York invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor. We seek applicants in any area of neuroscience and are particularly interested in candidates who are engaged in computational neuroscience and/or use animal models with molecular,neuroinformatics/bioinformatics, physiological, systems-level, or behavioral techniques and analyses. The successful candidate will have a record of, or strong potential for, external funding and experience teaching. We seek a faculty member who will contribute to teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate, Master's and doctoral levels and be actively engaged in committees and departmentaladministration.

Queens College, part of the City University of New York, has vibrant areas of research excellence in basic, translational, and clinical neuroscience, with strong clusters in behavioral neuroscience and clinical neuropsychology. Our interactive, collaborative neuroscience group includes faculty in Biology and Psychology at Queens College, the CUNY Graduate Center, and the Advanced Science Research Center, as well as researchers across CUNY campuses. The applicant will also have access to on-campus core facilities and can apply for access to the Advanced Science Research Center.
