Clinical Lab Scientist I

Accountable for performing laboratory procedures using a variety of instruments and procedures. Performs laboratory analyses on blood and various body fluids to obtain data on which a diagnosis of health or disease can be made and appropriate therapy initiated. Areas of responsibility may include one or more of the following: hematology, coagulation, immunohematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, urinalysis, molecular biology, histopathology, and point of care testing (POCT).

REQUIREMENTS:

• This position requires a Bachelors Degree consistent with the State of California CLS Licensure requirements.
• Valid California CLS - Clinical Lab Scientist, Clinical Microbiologist Scientist, or Public Health Microbiologist license required with MLS - Medical Laboratory Scientist - ASCP preferred.
• Minimum one year Clinical Microbiology or Public Health Microbiology lab experience preferred.
