Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment (CFA)

 

The Department of General Internal Medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a dynamic physician for a full-time academic faculty appointment as an internist practicing consultative and diagnostic medicine. The majority of the primary responsibilities and clinical activity will be focused in the outpatient service areas and six to eight weeks on the Inpatient Consult Service per year. The clinician must possess strong communication skills and will participate in the development of clinical research studies. Candidates must have completed the M.D. degree in an accredited medical school or equivalent, must have completed residency training in an approved American Residency Program or equivalent, have made application and been accepted by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and be licensed as a physician in the State of Texas.  Candidate must be board certified in Internal Medicine or obtain board certification within 3 years of employment.
