Position Summary:

Adhere to the strategic plan for development of Test Prep titles specially NEET and JEE. Thorough understanding of the Test Prep market, publishing process and customer need, and effective cost management. Efficient preparation and processing of manuscripts for their timely delivery to production. Work in close conjunction with internal and external stakeholders in the project. Ownership of development and delivery of titles, working closely with authors and acquisitions team

Intermediate level professional position that requires experience in functional area. Incumbent has developed skills on the job or through job-related training. Works on clearly defined, specialized or routine tasks covered by standard practice or established procedure with moderate level of guidance and direction from manager.

How you will make an impact:

Product design and management
  • Market Research and competition analysis
  • Adhere to the strategic publishing plan for the designated market
  • Thorough analysis of the project vis-a-vis competition, market requirements.
  • Prepare the timelines for all internal and external processes.
  • Ensure projects are delivered are cost-effective and released timely.
  • Work with businesses development lead for exploring opportunities for delivery of custom learning products based on published content.
  • Ownership of developing these custom solutions working in conjunction with the institute faculty and authors/ SMEs.

Product development and promotion
  • Developmental work to be informed by market intelligence, competition analysis and proper product positioning.
  • Work closely with the pre-press production teams (in-house and vendors); ensure that the manuscript is prepared and submitted in a suitable manner.
  • Checking of final stage proofs and their finalization.
  • To work with marketing and sales team to ensure greater visibility of all products, effective use of author network for all books developed.

We are looking for people
  • Post graduate degree in Sciences/Engineering
  • 3-4 years, should have worked on science books
  • Editorial skills, subject matter expertise
  • Familiarity with pre-press production processes and quality checks
