Description of Duties:

The SUNY Polytechnic Institute (Utica Campus) seeks to hire part-time (adjunct) instructors to teach in person,introductory-level physics courses and/or labs during daytime and/or evening hours. Our introductory physics courses and labs include algebra-based physics I (mechanics) and physics II (electricity and magnetism) using thetextbook Physics: Principles with Applications by D. Giancoli, as well as calculus-based physics I (mechanics) and physics II (electricity and magnetism) using the textbook University Physics by Young and Freedman. Each of thesecourses and labs requires 3 contact hours of teaching per week.

Other reasonable duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in physics or a related field from a college or university by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
