Research Consultant for the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS). The Research Consultant will plan and manage the day-to-day operation of selected projects and operations Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) and Womens Health Initiative (WHI). Role functions will include overseeing planning, organization, implementation and execution of projects specific to Translation Innovation Programs and Services (TIPS) Core and WHI.

As the Research Consultant for TIPS this position will complete day to day activities to achieve program/s goals; champion commercialization as a viable pathway for translation and dissemination of breakthrough biomedical research and technologies to improve human health and expand the understanding of translational science to improve efficiency and speed of translation; serve as a resource to initiate and develop university-wide and cross-campus collaborations and collaborations with external partners; assist with the creation, implementation of projects, and provide support as needed for innovative events and educational programs to foster biomedical innovation and entrepreneurial activity among faculty, students, postdocs and staff, particularly translational scientists and clinicians.

This position heads consultative services to faculty and staff researchers; guides researchers on services available throughout the university ecosystem; assists principal investigators (PI) with design, analysis expertise, research data collection and management plans, ethics considerations and regulatory plans; navigates OSU research infrastructure and matches requests for specialized faculty expertise; facilitates connections between researchers and core labs for services and equipment; connects researchers to resources outside OSU; interprets and facilitates compliance with research and clinical policies and procedures;

Assist with process improvement projects and evaluating the effectiveness of TIPS program; prepares reports for CCTS leadership.

As the Research Consultant for WHI this position will oversee daily activities of the WHI team; serves as a communication link between the team and management/leadership, investigators and sponsors; Coordinates monthly WHI SIG meeting including facilitating, scheduling, recording, and disseminates information to the team as needed; handle Workday approvals as needed; assist in the preparation of any required reports and agreements needed; manage all day-to-day needs of the WHI project; manage current lab space; answers data query questions; oversees and maintains IRB regulatory files and submits continuing reviews; assists in determining study budgets.

Minimum Education Required
Bachelor Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications
Bachelor level degree in an appropriate field required; extensive experience in clinical and translational research desired ; considerable experience in a research amp; development setting desired; expertise and experience in developing amp; managing innovative clinical amp; translational research programs; experience in research project management preferred; experience in a research consultative capacity desired. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
