Grade 4 (£21,197 - £23,715 p.a. depending on experience)

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Do you have experience in a finance role and of preparing financial information?

Are you a proactive and flexible team player?

The University of Leeds is one of the top 135 universities in the world. We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities. Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.

You will be joining the team responsible for the preparation of the statutory accounts for the University, centralised input of financial data to the SAP finance system and other financial systems and the book-keeping, accounts maintenance and preparation of accounts for the University's subsidiaries and other related organisations.

With overall accountability to the Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for the book-keeping and accounts preparation, for a number of the University's subsidiaries, including purchase ledger, sales invoices, bank reconciliations and VAT returns.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in all areas of accounts preparation, while providing accounting services to a number of companies, which will primarily be your responsibility.

This vacancy is within the Finance Service, but it is based in the Financial Accounting team. However, should the business need arise, and after full consultation with you, you may be deployed elsewhere within the Finance Service.
