St. Mary's College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City is accepting r sum s for the part-time contingent position of Psychology Department Assistant. The Psychology Department Assistant will provide classroom support for remote professors during the FA22-SP23 academic year and provide support as needed to curricular and research activities to support high impact practices in research for undergraduates. Primary responsibilities will include assisting with in-person classroom activities, proctoring exams, assisting with end of semester Research Symposium planning and poster printing, and assisting with other activities in support of teaching or research as determined by the department chair of psychology. Duties each week will range from 2.5 to 15 hours depending on need and is paid hourly. This is a part-time position with no benefits provided.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Psychology and previous experience in psychology are preferred. Candidates should be self-motivated, independent workers who have a strong track record of working well with others. Previous experience with preparation of research posters and using Zoom in a classroom setting also preferred. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination, medical and religious exemptions will be considered.
