Overview We have an exciting Hematology/Oncology Ambulatory Registered Nurse opportunity at University Hospital that supports our Bone Marrow patients. This is a fast-paced and challenging environment that allows nurses the opportunity to truly get to know their patients and be involved in their continuum of care. This position is for four, 10 hour shifts with, minimal weekend requirements, and less than one holiday obligation per year!! At least 1 year of acute care RN experience preferred. Chemo experience a plus! Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Requires current state of Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.
Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.
Requires ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.
Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
