Penn State Health - Holy Spirit Hospital

Location: US:PA: Enola

Work Type: Full Time

FTE: 1.00

Shift: Day

Hours: 8:00a - 5:00p (varied based on needs)

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Reports to the Regional CNO. Responsible for all aspects of professional development and education which include: overseeing competency-based educational programming, partnering with schools of nursing to create innovative curricula and learning experiences, collaborating with senior leadership to create a climate and structure that encourages lifelong learning, and developing and directing the implementation of nursing retention strategies. Provides oversight for the development, implementation, and review process for nursing and department ancillary support staff education as determined by gaps in quality and performance. This position is responsible for leading the clinical nurse educators in the West Shore Region to include Hampden Medical Center and Holy Spirit Medical Center.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

Master Degree

Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by the State of employment

Seven (7) years of related experience required

Five (5) years of management experience required

Progressive leadership required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

Certification in Nursing Professional Development or Nursing Administration preferred
