A Software Engineering Manager position is available at the Networking Research Lab, University of Memphis. The main job responsibilities include (a) designing, implementing and maintaining networking software for projects related to the Named Data Networking architecture; (b) managing, collecting and analyzing research data, and developing conclusions based on data; (c) managing and preparing research reports and supporting the PI in project team formation and supports recruiting technical staffing; (d) assigning work to all graduate students, student assistants, and temporary workers plus supervises deliverables; and (e) coordinating the team's work with external collaborators.
Minimum requirements: bachelor's degree in a relevant area and five (5) years of appropriate experience. Relevant experience may substitute for required education. Applicants MUST be US citizen.
This position is grant funded contingent upon funding availability. We are especially interested in candidates with higher education networking research experience.
