The Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing will be teaching undergraduate courses for the School of Nursing. Nursing faculty advise and mentor students and serve on departmental and institutional committees. The position is Tenure Track in the BSN program.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Ability to plan and prepare course content and curriculum, utilizing assessment and proper methodologies of instruction for the enhancement of learning.
- Ability to demonstrate procedures in the nursing skills lab, supervise student demonstrations, and evaluate student performances.
- Collaborate with a diverse faculty in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum, course assignments, and class schedules.
- Maintain and complete formative and summative evaluations for assigned students.
- Display a commitment to the philosophy, vision, and goals of the School of Nursing.
- Provide the appropriate classroom instruction and clinical laboratory experience for enrolled nursing students.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to serve as a role model for students via effective communication, team concepts, and professional methodology.
- Ability to actively participate in the continuous development of up-to-date curriculum and evaluation methods.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to prioritize projects with minimal supervision while collaborating with team members across university departments.
- Actively assists in the disseminating relevant and current information regarding the School of Nursing.
Education and Experience
- Master's degree in nursing is required, Doctorate degree preferred.
- Currently licensed in the State of Missouri as a Registered Nurse.
- Current healthcare provider in CPR.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel to and from clinical sites.
- Ability to work in the classrooms and clinical laboratory sites.
- Ability to actively demonstrate and participate in the skills laboratory without limitations.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
