Job Description
LC State invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Nursing (2 openings).

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $55,000 - $65,000

Degree Required:

• Master's Degree in Nursing

Required Qualifications:

• Active unencumbered ID RN license or eligible to attain
• Current clinical nursing experience in areas such as population/community health, nursing leadership, healthcare policy, medical-surgical or pediatrics
• The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to work autonomously within a collaborative and dynamic faculty group
• Must meet health and immunization requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctorate. May consider all but dissertation, or applicant with firm completion date.
• Experience teaching in undergraduate or graduate nursing program
• Experience facilitating high-fidelity simulation activities
• Experience with curriculum development
• Demonstrated ability to advise and mentor students
• Experience with online and/or distance instruction of nursing courses

Responsibilities:

This tenure track 9-month 1.0 FTE faculty member will primarily be responsible for teaching face-to-face didactic and clinical nursing courses as assigned for pre-licensure BSN students and/or for online coursework for RN-BSN students, and/or for online coursework for the nursing graduate certificate. Teaching assignment may include facilitation of lab, clinical, and simulation experiences. The successful candidate will participate in curriculum design, implementation, evaluation, and revision. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, scholarship/professional development, and service activities.
