This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly motivated, high performing Visa & Immigration Student Advice Service (VISAS Team) at the University of Southampton.
VISAS works closely with the Admissions, Student Hub, Student Records and other professional services.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, a strong customer service ethos, be able to follow procedures and regulations and yet be creative in suggesting improvements to develop processes. Although not a requirement, they will ideally have experience of working within an Higher Education environment (eg admissions, student records) and have some knowledge of the UK's immigration regulations.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate effectively and persuasively to staff, customers and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will need to be cleared by the Home Office to handle Biometric Residence Permits (BRP). They must therefore either hold UK or Irish nationality or have ILR or, if EU, have EU Settled/Pre-Settled status.
We aim to be an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
