Student Visa and Immigration Advisor (Maternity cover)
This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly motivated, high performing Visa & Immigration Student Advice Service (VISAS Team) at the University of Southampton.
The work of the Visa and Immigration Student Advice Service (VISAS Team) covers:
VISAS works closely with the Admissions, Student Hub, Student Records and other professional services.
The ideal candidate will be a highly organised team player with a good knowledge of the Higher Education sector and up to date knowledge of issues impacting international students within Higher Education.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate effectively and persuasively to staff, customers and other stakeholders.
This role involves planning for key University events; previous events management experience is therefore desirable.
The successful candidate will need to be cleared by the Home Office to handle Biometric Residence Permits (BRP) so will need to be a UK national or have ILR or have EU Pre-settled/Settled status.

- Compliance and reporting - monitoring academic engagement and ensuring that the University and its students remain compliant with Home Office regulations, conducting Right to Study checks and reporting changes to the Home Office
- CAS issuance and ATAS
