The Department of Nursing at Westmont College seeks a collaborative and energetic tenure-track faculty member to serve as professor (open rank) and assistant director of our new Accelerated BSN program. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about the Christian mission of the college, committed to grounding the program in the liberal arts, and excited about teaching and supporting our diverse nursing students.

The Assistant Program Director, along with the Program Director, is responsible and accountable for the coordination, direction, fiscal planning, and all activities involved in developing, implementing, and managing the nursing program. They will have supervisory responsibility over all faculty (full and part-time) and should have extensive knowledge of the best practices in nursing education coupled with a creative spirit to encourage innovation in pedagogy.

Carrying a 0.5 teaching load (teaching load is 24units/year/three semesters), they will teach in their areas of expertise and certification. A complete list of responsibilities can be found here. The Assistant Director will be approved by the California BRN prior to hiring.
