YOUR ROLE

This role will support 2nd shift on a 2/2/3 schedule. Hours will be 3:00pm-11:00pm.
  • The Shift Manager will lead all operations at factory level to ensure efficient production and high quality products, and build long term capability
  • Serve as member of the department/cell leadership team
  • Deliver improvement of the key performance indicators (KPI's) and deliver targets, including Safety, Quality, Production Plan, Cost, Projects and People Development
  • Lead and coach daily management systems (DMS), including line boards, defect tagging, PM schedules, center-lining and clean & inspect (CI) standards
  • Responsible for performance management of all direct reports by providing appropriate feedback, recognition, coaching and mentoring to motivate team members to grow and perform at optimal levels
  • Sets up and executes development plans for plant personnel
  • Ensures operations processes and solutions are implemented according to global procedures and local regulations
  • Helps coordinate maintenance resources to resolve immediate reliability issues and plan and execute effective Preventative Maintenance
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement and cost savings opportunities through 5s, Lean manufacturing and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) methodologies
  • Support training and skill development of hourly associates and area leaders

YOUR SKILLS
  • B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering and/or related field preferred OR equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree
  • 1+ years of industry relevant experience in a team leadership capacity, strong preference for maintenance or process experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and listening skills
  • Direct supervision experience: coaching, motivating, team building, performance evaluation, recognition, and time & attendance
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills to help troubleshoot equipment failures and direct resources preferred
  • Union experience preferred, not required
