This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you an experienced employment law professional?

Do you have experience of using your commercial awareness and ability to calculate risk when advising on a wide range of general employment related issues?

Do you have strong communication and influencing skills, including the ability to make strong recommendations?

Are you able to work your own caseload without close direct supervision?

The Legal Adviser's office is based within the University's Secretariat department and comprises of five solicitors and one legal secretary. It is led by the University's Legal Adviser and is the University's main source of legal advice.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced employment law professional who is a qualified solicitor. You, together with the other two part-time employment solicitors, will be the main source of legal advice to the University (usually through Human Resources) on employment issues.
