YOUR ROLE
  • Experienced senior manager (d/f/m) that contributes to shaping Adhesive Technologies' strategy for sustainability through transformation of our packaging portfolio
  • The special focus is on accelerating and elevating existing efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of our packaging while ensuring customer satisfaction as well as safety and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders, assess opportunities for portfolio harmonization, and facilitate cross-functional decision making
  • Identify highest impact levers, derive and prioritize concrete initiatives and translate them into business plans
  • Responsible for roadmap development, performance measurement and progress reporting
  • Provide expertise on sustainability related topics like material recyclability, dematerialization, packaging footprint assessment as well as cost and business implications along the value chain
  • Represent Henkel externally at association or industry initiatives, at customers, as well as in internal bodies - to improve our sustainability expertise, performance, and reputation

YOUR SKILLS
  • Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Packaging or related), Environmental Science, Business Administration or a related field (PhD optional)
  • Min. 5 years of professional experience in leading multi-stakeholder projects related to packaging in the industrial environment, ideally with a strong focus on sustainability related projects
  • Background and experience in packaging related management, procurement and supply chain management or close collaboration with mentioned fields
  • Industrial background would be an advantage
  • Excellent understanding of packaging technology, complexity and business implication required
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Individual with both strategic and analytical mindset, strong project management skills, and passion about driving change and challenging the status quo
  • Fluent English language skills, good knowledge of German is an advantage
