The University of Colorado, Denver (CU Denver) Business School, located in the heart of downtown Denver, seeks a visionary and collaborative leader for the position of Associate Dean of Programs. Reporting to the Dean, the Associate Dean will be joining an entrepreneurial leadership team and School at an exciting time of strategic growth. The Business School has the opportunity to leverage its prime location and a community of dedicated faculty and staff to be the top-choice business school in Denver. The School will be looking to the new Associate Dean to help refine and develop Business School programming to grow enrollment, promote collaborations within the Business School and intra- and interdisciplinary connections across CU Denver and the CU system, and ensure all Business School programming is competitive and serves the needs of a highly diverse student body, community partners, and Denver businesses and industry.

The CU Denver Business School is conveniently located downtown and serves approximately 1,800 undergraduate students and 1,600 graduate students, offering academic excellence in a vibrant urban setting. The School grants a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, MBA degrees, Specialized Master of Science degrees and various professional certificates. The School is also working on rolling out a Doctor of Business Administration in Health Administration in 2023. Academic disciplines include accounting, business analytics, finance, information systems, international business, management, and marketing. The Business School offers more graduate programs than any other business school in Colorado, with specialized options that allow students to tailor their degree to their career goals. Among the top urban research schools in the US, CU's Business School has been recognized for the research productivity of its faculty. In 2020, the Texas A&M/University of Georgia Ranking of Management Departments ranked CU Denver Business School's Management Department as 16th in per capita faculty research productivity and 62nd overall faculty research productivity. The CU Denver Business School prides itself on being AACSB globally-accredited while having a highly diverse student body, with over 50% of its undergraduate student body identifying as first-generation and/or students of color.

It is a pivotal time at the Business School after the arrival of an experienced Dean in 2020, Dr. Scott Dawson; the adoption of their five-year, dynamic strategic plan; and the recent rollout of new branding. The School is ready to evolve and will be looking to the new Associate Dean to help determine the appropriate programming and operational infrastructure within their units of oversight for the School to thrive well into the future. In doing so, the Associate Dean will work closely with CU Denver and the Business School to provide leadership for a set of key opportunities and challenges:

* Provide a vision and strategy in alignment with the strategic plan to grow enrollment, support student success, and promote academic excellence

* Grow enrollment while ensuring the success of a highly diverse student body

* Ensure that undergraduate and graduate programs are innovative and responsive to student and industry needs, and adhere to AACSB standards

* Determine the appropriate infrastructure for growth and innovation

The salary range for the role will be $180-225K, commensurate with related experience and qualifications.
