TENURE TRACK POSITION IN COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE - THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY - UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS CHICAGO (UIC)Description: The Psychology Department of the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Brain and Cognitive Sciences (BCS) program to begin August 2023. The ideal scholar will have a research focus that complements our existing strengths in language, learning and memory, executive function, perception, and motivation. Candidates whose research bridges these areas are especially desirable. We seek scholars who conduct research in humans investigating the neural, computational, and/or psychological bases of cognition using behavioral analyses in combination with neuro-based methods (e.g., neuroimaging, neural recordings, neurostimulation) or modeling. The successful candidate will have a promising program of research in Cognitive Neuroscience and exhibit potential to secure external funding.The Psychology Department is home to a vibrant PhD program and provides ample opportunities and facilities for research, including collaboration with numerous behavioral scientists and neuroscientists across various colleges at UIC. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the undergraduate and graduate teaching missions of Psychology.
