Gene Therapy Research Associate

Job Description
The Laboratory of Ronald G. Crystal, MD, in the Department of Genetic Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City is recruiting a Research Associate. This position is a full time, PhD- or MD-level staff appointment. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of postdoctoral research experience and expertise in molecular biology and control of gene expression (promoters, enhancers, post-transcriptional controls, expression cassette design/optimization or novel mechanisms) demonstrated through multiple peer-reviewed publications in the field. Prior experience with gene therapy or virology is particularly relevant. In this position, the Research Associate will work directly with department faculty on basic and translational science responsibilities. The Department conducts a broad range of gene therapy studies ranging from proof-of-concept models to pre-clinical data generation, regulatory filings, and analysis of clinical trial data. Candidates must hold a PhD in a field related to gene therapy or an MD.
