The Bill Munday School of Business

St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) invites applications for a full/part-time, 9-month, tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, beginning January 2023. The successful candidate will contribute to the scholarly activities at St. Edward's through research and community engagement.

For consideration, as the school pursues AACSB accreditation, applicants must have the following credentials:
  • D. or D.B.A. with specialization in Management or a related field completed by December 2022. We prefer degrees from AACSB-accredited business programs.
  • A demonstrated record or strong potential for scholarship in peer reviewed publications.
  • Evidence of excellent teaching potential.
  • Expertise and interests in teaching courses in two or more of the following areas: strategic management, corporate social responsibility, entrepreneurship, and human resource management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with and commitment to working with a diverse population.
  • Prior teaching experience and business industry experience preferred.
  • Interest in our university's global initiatives preferred.


Essential Responsibilities Include:
  • Candidates should have the interest and ability or potential to teach a range of undergraduate courses and support a diverse student body.
  • Fulfill teaching requirements: 4/3 teaching load-total of 7 classes per academic year.
  • Maintain an active, high quality research agenda leading to refereed publications in the discipline.
  • Interact with local, regional, national, and international business, nonprofit, government, and community representatives to develop experiential learning opportunities for students.
  • Provide academic advising and mentoring for undergraduate students.
  • Develop new courses and curriculum as needed.
  • Participate in assessment of student performance in the discipline.
  • Maintain commitment to social responsibility in the classroom, in line with the University's mission.
  • Meet School and University service requirements through participation in committees and campus initiatives.
  • Fulfill other required faculty responsibilities as outlined in the St. Edward's University Faculty Manual .
  • Other duties as assigned
