Job Description
InduPro is bringing life-changing therapies to patients through novel cell-surface platform technologies. We are defining and manipulating protein interactions beyond natural signaling paradigms . InduPro platforms integrate inherent protein proximity at the cell surface with the ability to manipulate protein pairings via induced protein proximity to create novel signaling pathways and logic gates.

The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a highly-skilled proteomic mass spectrometrist to join our Cambridge team at our new Kendall Square location. In this lab facing role, you will be an integral member of the InduPro team and will contribute to developing and optimizing our proteomic platform.

Responsibilities Include
  • Establish, develop, and optimize work-flows for quantitative analysis of protein interactions, the cell-surface proteome, and protein posttranslational modifications
  • Daily operation and maintenance of mass spectrometers
  • Design, build, and execute LC-MS proteomic-based labeling techniques, data acquisition methods, and utilize various processing software packages to enable data analysis
  • Assess and implement emerging cutting-edge technologies and applications in high-performance mass spectrometry
  • Proactively engage with colleagues from various functions as well as external collaboration teams to integrate mass spectrometry-based data for identification/validation of proximal protein environments and to inform therapeutic discovery and development
  • Contribute to the collective knowledge of multidisciplinary teams through extensive idea exchange and collaboration
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and provide scientific mentoring and technical training to team members as appropriate

Requirements

Required Qualifications Include:
  • PhD or an MS/BS in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field with 0-3 years of experience (PhD) or 7+ years of drug discovery experience (MS/BS)
  • Multiple years of hands-on experience with Orbitrap mass spectrometers and reverse phase HPLC peptide separation
  • Experience and knowledge of cell culture, tissue, and biological sample preparation for downstream proteomic application
  • Excellent mechanical troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience with analysis and visualization of big data and a sound understanding of statistical concepts
  • A strong record of scientific achievement, including publications in high-impact journals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A track record of collaborating effectively with scientists working in other disciplines

Preferred Qualifications Include:
  • Computer coding/scripting skills
  • Hands-on experience in workflow automation
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as R or python
  • Experience in innovative cell culture techniques (3D culture, organoids, co-culture systems, etc.) and genetic manipulation of cells (e.g., siRNA, CRISPR, protein overexpression, etc.)

Benefits

InduPro is a dynamic startup where every member of our team plays a role in shaping our science and our culture. We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes stock options and exciting opportunities for learning and development.

InduPro is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and will consider all applicants for employment.
