*Compensation:* Starting Salary is $58,125. Compensation package is comprised of many college paid benefits including health and life insurance, retirement, leave time, and tuition waivers for Santa Fe College and the University of Florida.
*Description*:The SF Biotechnology Program is seeking a qualified full-time Biotechnology faculty member to teach various courses in Biotechnology and Clinical Laboratory Sciences. This position is a 12-month continuing contract faculty position with a preferred start date of Spring Term 2023. The 12-month annual contract represents a teaching load of 42 credit hours based on 15+15 in fall and spring and 12 in summer. Santa Fe College is a teaching-oriented, student-centered institution emphasizing lower division courses for university transfer. Additionally, Santa Fe offers both two-year associate and four-year baccalaureate degrees vital workforce areas including Biotechnology and Clinical Laboratory Science.
Primary assignments will include didactic and laboratory courses in Biotechnology and Clinical Laboratory Science. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work successfully with a diverse student population, inclusive approaches to learning and present flexibility and willingness to work with others. Emphasis will be placed on active learning strategies and experience with web-based education. In addition to direct responsibilities associated with student learning, faculty will be responsible for non-instructional service to the department, program, and college.
*Responsibilities and Duties*:
* Plan curriculum and provide instruction to promote student success in the college setting.

* Collaborate with colleagues to evaluate, develop, and revise curricula and pedagogical methods that enhance student mastery of course content.

* Collaborate with colleagues and local school professionals to create and promote joint outreach and educational activities.

* Support the mission of the department and college to promote student learning through quality instruction, curriculum enhancement, faculty scholarship, professional development, and service.

* Assist with the implementation of college policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with Santa Fe philosophy, values, and mission.

* Participate in committee work and complete staff assignments as requested.

* Perform other related duties as assigned.

* Assist academic chair with forming and coordinating advisory committees for all Perry Center programs.

* Have working knowledge of industry certifications and program accreditations.

* Coordinate with faculty to maintain course offerings that promote student success and timely graduation.

* Assist program advisor in new student orientation and recruitment events.

* Serve as mentor for adjunct faculty and professional role model for students.

* Work a flexible schedule at multiple worksites.

* Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

*Reports to:* Academic Chair, Emerging Technologies
*Qualifications*:*Required:* A Master's Degree in any recognized academic major within biological, chemical, physical or clinical laboratory sciences or a master's degree with eighteen (18) graduate course hours in any combination of the qualifying fields is required. A minimum of three years of relevant teaching experience within a college setting is required.
*Additional Requirements:* A criminal background check will be conducted.
*Preferred:* Ability to be credentialed to teach additional course(s) offered at the Perry Center, including Biology, Microbiology, and Anatomy & Physiology. Previous experience with education methods, administration, and certification procedures.
*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: *
